Our Team
Don Chalmers, Jr.
President
Don brings over 30 years experience as a fundraising professional to the SparrowHawk team. A skilled facilitator and engaging trainer, Don has worked with volunteer boards, government agencies, and planning committees. His career includes successful capital projects, cultivation of major gifts from individuals, facilitation, training and strategic planning.
Don is currently Adjunct Faculty at The Evergreen State College, teaching two sections of Grantwriting and Nonprofit Development in the Evening and Weekend Studies Program. Don is a member of NDOA and Executive Alliance. He holds a law degree from the University of Oregon.
Marilyn Dungan
Senior Development Associate
Marilyn has worked with federally recognized Tribes and Tribal organizations in New Mexico, California, Nevada and Washington for over 20 years. Her background includes economic development projects, housing and housing authority plans & programs [new construction and rehabilitation], public works, redevelopment, and social services projects and programs. She has extensive grant & planning experience working with California cities and counties, non-profit groups and community organizations. She has a BA in Public Administration from San Diego State University, with graduate work in Urban Planning.
Anne Chalmers
Associate
Anne has 25 years experience working with non-profit organizations in education, computer training, and business development including the following industries: electric utility, wireless communications, industrial devices, wind energy, and municipal water systems. She has a BA in Chemistry from Portland State University.
Kellie Patton
Development Associate
Kellie has worked as part of the SparrowHawk team on project management, strategic planning, grantwriting, organizational development, and feasibility studies. She has a BA from the Evergreen State College and is a member of the Puget Sound Writers Guild.
Joellen Wilhelm
Associate
Joellen has diverse work experience in the public and nonprofit sectors. Her skills include capital campaign planning and fund acquisition as well as general funding research and grant writing. Joellen has a Masters is Public Administration with a focus on Nonprofit Management from The Evergreen State College and a BS in Environmental Communications from The Ohio State University.
Rebecca Robison
Development Support
Rebecca brings skills in administration, data management, and client service to SparrowHawk. She has over 10 years experience assessing, establishing and monitoring multi-cultural client services, and coaching.
